One day workshop that aims to give a basic understanding of the gait cycle, and the common problems that can occur with walking following a neurological injury.
Practically the workshop will equip the participants with skills and knowledge on how they can help improve their patients walking through handling and use of suitable walking aids/equipment.
This is the second course in a group of three. These three courses are designed for physiotherapy assistants and carers working with individuals living with a neurological condition.
Combined, these courses aim to improve the participants:
- knowledge of analysing how their clients are moving and the impact this is may be having on their functional performance in everyday activities
- To adapt their own handling to optimise their client’s movement performance
- To help them to support their clients to meet their rehabilitation goals
