This 1 day course will look at the theory and practical underpinnings of posture and balance at an introductory level.
The participants will learn how to assess their patient’s posture and movements between postures.
They will learn how they can adapt their handling and the environment to help their patients move more easily and efficiently.
This is the first course in a group of three. These three courses are designed for physiotherapy assistants and carers working with individuals living with a neurological condition.
Combined, these courses aim to improve the participants:
- knowledge of analysing how their clients are moving and the impact this is may be having on their functional performance in everyday activities
- To adapt their own handling to optimise their client’s movement performance
- To help them to support their clients to meet their rehabilitation goals
