Shirley has over 25 years’ experience working in the NHS specialising in the assessment, treatment and case management of patients with complex neurological conditions including acquired/traumatic brain injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal injuries, stroke and Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
During her career Shirley has worked in a variety of settings including out-patients and the community, delivering bespoke treatment programmes to meet patient’s individual goals. For many years she worked at a regional neuro-rehabilitation unit, guiding patients through the early stages of their recovery.
Shirley is trained in the Bobath Concept to an advanced level after completing a number of advanced courses and workshops. She is enthusiastic in applying this problem solving approach and is passionate about enabling her patients to optimise their potential recovery and achieve their goals.
