Alessandro is a passionate Physiotherapist who’s interest in neurology began in higher education, inspired by a Bobath Tutor he met at the University, who showed him how to work with the damaged nervous system.
He qualified in Physiotherapy from the University of Padua, Italy, in 2013 and since then has continued with his study, focusing his training in neurological disorders.
He worked in Italy since graduation in the San Raffaele Arcangelo Rehabilitation Hospital, Venice, where he worked with either neurological or orthopaedic patients. This permitted him to have a wide view of the patients’ problems and different ways to treat them.
Because of his studies, he became one of the reference therapists for the treatment of neurological patients, in particular stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease and neuromuscular diseases.
Alessandro took on the role of Clinical Tutor for students of the University of Padua and the Supsi (Switzerland) for neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Due to his experience, he started a collaboration with the University of Padua, leading educational meetings with students of physiotherapy for the introduction to the Bobath Concept.
Currently, Alessandro is training to be an International Bobath Instructor. There are currently only 140 instructors worldwide and only 40 in training, 4 of which are in the UK. He has also organised and taught several physio assistants courses.
Alessandro is specialised in Neurophysiotherapy, Manual therapy and he is a certified personal trainer. He is very passionate about his clinical professional development using his skills to help his patients find their recovery potential and reach their rehabilitation goals.
