Optimising Recovery of Gait – Course 2
Designed for physiotherapy assistants and carers working with individuals living with a neurological condition.
Duration: Full Day Saturday

Course Description: One day workshop that aims to give a basic understanding of the gait cycle, and the common problems that can occur with walking following a neurological injury.
Course Aims:
Practically the workshop will be walking through handling and use of suitable walking aids/equipment.
Course number two of three, when combined these courses aim to improve the participants:
- knowledge of analysing how their clients are moving and the impact this is may be having on their functional performance in everyday activities
- To adapt their own handling to optimise their client’s movement performance
- To help them to support their clients to meet their rehabilitation goals
